Hello hello!Eithne Mania is at an all time high.How do i know?Here's a list of reasons.

My post count goes up drastically.On the forum,i mean
When quizzed about Christmas carols,i mention Adeste Fideles,Oiche Chiun and We Wish You A Merry Christmas,and press the importance that Enya has recorded the above.
I defend the Irish star vehemently whenever someone calls her a recluse.
I fall in love with Ireland and make it a definite point to go to County Donegal at least once in my life.(Eithne's birthplace.DUH!!!)
Oh,and when in Donegal,Gweedore,go to Leo's tavern.And then hope like crazy that Eithne or Maire is there.
I can refer to anything under the sun and connect it to her songs.

There are so many more reasons..Do you wanna hear them?*dodges yet another hatchet thrown by someone*I guess that's a no.Life without Vanessa to call and torture is getting boring.I suppose i'll just have to start writing my reports and doing Christmas shopping.*sigh*Best to get it done and over with,i guess.

Ok.Here's the promised post.:D
I've been dying to convert my blog to accomodate vids nicely and this is the best i could do in abou 1/2 an hour.
As you can see,i've put up 3 vids all concerning Enya down there,so please be a nice person and watch at least Oiche Chiun...It is going to be Christmas after all... :D

The class gathering was...(sorry Valen,sorry XF!!!) kinda like a let down.I dunno.I suppose maybe it's cos somebody stole $60 from me and i threw up cos of one of the games.The extra bummer was that my favourite customised shirt got stained irrevocably.Damn.And because i lost that $60 bucks,i'm not allowed any money this week.Good way to lose weight though,on the optimistic side.

Hello hello..I've been terribly ill for the past few days...and still am...but here's an update anyway.(Joy,you'd better stop pestering me)
I'm really really really really sick now.This morning,i barfed up lots of hydrochloric acid from my stomach.And now i'm coughing to high heaven.
Enough about my illness.I've recently developed this strange obsession with tenpin bowling.And my infatuation with Enya is back.Elaine Paige too.Strange...I now really really really think i'm bi.Hugh Jackman is talented.I've seen him dance,sing and act...And now i hear he can do magic?Impressive..The only other person i respect as much is Daniel Davis.And Sarah Brightman.
Now,i know lots of you think i detest her,but the truth is,the more i learn about her,the more i love her.She's soooo talented!I just saw some vintage clips of her in her Hot Gossip days.It was incredible.And her voice....Truly another Angel of Music.I dunno why,but my past obsessions are coming back to haunt me.Elaine Paige,Sarah Brightman,Michael Crawford,Colm Wilkinson,the artists of the same old...They're just wonderful.New arrivals on the block would include KT Tunstall and some Gregorian monks that sing just heavenly.Oh,not to mention Moya Brennan,Enya's eldest sister.
Ok.Moving on to something else.The comedy 'My Family' is really what's gotten me hooked.It's bloody funny...I have found newfound respect for Zoe Wanamaker,the lady who plays Madame Hooch...Don't you think she's hilarious??!!(You had better have watched the vids below.or at least the one right on top)
Anyways,i've gotta go now.Stupid meds are taking effect..

Mahjong

I've learnt how to play mahjong.I really dunno why it gives me that kind of innate sense of satisfaction to say it.I'll say it again.I've learnt how to play mahjong.
And the Nanny's back on Hallmark!You wouldn't believe how happy i was when i heard Niles commenting dryly about CC's bad sense of clothes.I was practically jumping up and down.Other than that,i found out Wire in the Blood is coming on Hallmark too and Simone Lahbib is in it,i think.So that's a bonus too.Plus,i found out that the comedy 'My Family' is also airing on BBC Entertainment,which stars Zoe Wannamaker,the lady who plays Madame Hooch in the Harry Potter movies.She's a really good actress,you know,delivering all those comedic lines with a straight face.I wouldn't last a second
Last bit of news.I went to the library on Friday and borrowed around 6 items.A Princess diana picture tribute,Ellen's book 'The Funny Thing Is...',a collection of poems from W.B.Yeats,and another collection by T.S. Elliot.The last item was a travel documentary about the Emerald Isle.I know i'm obessessed,but i really wanna go there.I dunno why.I dunno why i seem to be using dunno such an awful lot today.
Ellen's book is really,really really funny.Not as funny as when she does standup,but funny enough.And the Diana tribute...Let's just say i'll be staring at the pictures for a good few hours.
I think that may cement my reputation as 'gay'.*sigh*Anyways,i shall speak once more when i have more time.This post was written in 8 minutes.:D

Bloody exam period.

Bloody exam period's here again.So far i've made it through HCL paper 1,EL paper 1,Lit and History.Tomorrrow's geog and i'm so bloody screwed for it.

[Forgive the excessive swearing in this post,i'm unusually high strung]

Anyways,steering clear from the exams before i truly unleash my rich vocabulary of vulgarities.Believe me,i'll amaze you if you think i'm ignorant.I know enough.
On the bright side,i've just discovered this new series from ITV and Shed Productions.You people won't want to know about it though..it'll probably disgust you more than a dead rat.Won't tell you the title,but i'll tell you the actresses i have come to respect and love.Their names are Simone Lahbib,a lady of Scot-African descent,Mandana Jones,a Welsh-Iranian actress,and Linda Henry,a British actress very much involved in the theatre world.
Personally i ilke Linda the best,as her potrayal of a particular character in the series is really really good.Mandana and Simone were ok,but their chemistry was what rubbed me the right way.Can't wait for the bloody exams to be over.
Did you know that i got so carried away during my lit paper i very nearly described Maslo Inch as a bloody S.O.B. and a b******.I'm really losing my touch.I have to try and reinstate it before i go around cursing to high heaven...

Recounting the experience of shopping @ People's Park

Ok.Make it a point never ever to try and eat lunch with Miss Jo Ann Lee.You'll never make it through alive.I'm telling you.

But first,let me clarify what i was doing with Miss Lee and Abigil in the remote location of People's Park in Chinatown.We were shopping around for some stuff for HIP!And after scouting one shop,my stomach decided to rebel and make some noise.The three of us took around 15 minutes to decide what to eat and we finally decided on the stuffy hawker center.I walked around,and feeling embarrassed that i was having two people following me around,i made a beeline straightaway for the nearest place i could find char siew rice.And so,after i ordered and got my food,we sat down.

And dear Miss Lee decided to start interrogating me.
"Why are you eating char-sao fan?Did you know of this store beforehand?'Cos we noticed that you made a beeline for that stall at once."
Of course,she said it all with a straight face and unfortunately for me,i had already shovelled quite a large spoonful of rice and char-siew into my mouth.And if you know me,i crack up when Miss Lee does that.
I very nearly choked on my food.
And Miss Lee,to make matters worse,turned to Abigil and said:"Y'know,i think we should look away.Looking at her just makes it worse."

In my mind i was like :"You think it'll make it worse??IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU ARE LOOKING AT ME OR NOT!!!"
I managed to swallow the food and fix the giggling and bewildered duo with a death glare.

I cracked up again.I tell you.I think it only applies to me,though.No one else seems to laugh at everything Miss Lee says.Why me???!!!!

Anyways,after both Miss Lee and i had finished eating,we went back upstairs to buy our stuff.Thank goodness i managed to control myself,to a certain extent.

Oh,wait.I ABSOLUTELY HAVE to comment on this.Y'know Mr Teo drives a small red car right?Well,Miss Lee drives her mother's Volkswagen Passat.And me and Abigil were comparing their driving skills.Very obviously,Miss Lee won.It took Mr Teo two tries to manouver his tiny car into the parking lot while it simply took Miss Lee one.That proves alot.Anyways,Adieu till the next time!

Hello there people!I guess life's finally caught up with me.Busy,busy busy...Projects falling into me lap faster than you can say 'Orinocco flow'.

Strangely enough, I've been sober for quite a while now.I'm suffering from fatigue due to an insufficient amount of rest on my part on Sunday.There was an auction going on in the vicinity of my house and the dear emcee was hollering at the top of his voice,at night,mind you,in hokkien,the prices of the items they were selling.The whole thing was completely and utterly frustrating and tiring.The toture finally ended 'round 11pm,but i didn't get to sleep till 1am.Then i clawed my way out of bed at 4.30 am to study my 成语s.
I got to school,had one coffee in the morning,and then another one during recess to keep me alive.After school,my mother joined me agus Vanessa agus Valerie agus their mother for the "Rub Your Stress away" workshop.It was fun.However,i could feel the caffeine wearing thin already.Then, my mother dragged me and my dad after dinner to see the lights that we were going to get for the new house.By the way,my new neighbour's gonna be my P1 math teacher, Mrs Tan WK.Sigh.I guess i'll have to watch my behaviour from now onwards.No singing at the top of my voice,yadayada. Today was rather enjoyable.Merissa Ang and Shirley were acting perverse and went around smacking people's sensitive bottoms.I was not spared.As usual,i used my stare-down technique and it worked.My stomach seems to have developed some gastric problems.I keep having sharp,piercing pains.And no,it's not that time of the month. ;D I've developed a love for vampires lately,and i really don't know why...They seem so appealing,don't you think? Anyways,Singapore is a really HOMOPHOBIC country.Wish people here were more liberal.

Heyya!!I just watched the POTO segment,and when the lady hit those famous high notes,Fe Xiang just stared at her as though he couldn't believe she was singing them.The look on his face....just priceless!!!!Cheers!Just a short post...To let you know i'm still very much alive and kicking.Oh yeah.There's this lady in the video that looks like Drew Barrymore,but an excellent singer.I think she's quite tall too.This bitchy looking singer is like a midget next to her.haha.One setback though.She let down her hair,which makes her look like a lion.She could replace Emmy Rossum though..Except some people might not think she's pretty enough,but that's an aquired taste,IMHO.This lady does look a little goth like because of the makeup and all,but i know she can dance rather well.I saw it with my own eyes.And she's less painful to listen to than Sarah Brightman.Plus she pronounces and her range is rather wide.YAY!!She's my fav chorus member other than that short-haired blonde...

Good evening people!

Have any of you ever experienced that fierce passion within you before?The aggressiveness that drives you to go on a warpath,led by sheer bloodlust?It's easy to supress,but sometime in the near future,i do believe that i would want to don Ancient Celtic armour and go into battle.It would obviously be impossible,so the next best thing i can do is listen to Celtic music to drum up this emoti0n.Clannad would do well...Hmmm...Time to go CD hunting.

I coined it "The Celtic Rage"as when i felt this unfeeling rage,the Celts immediately popped into my mind.They're so brutally crude,yet elegant in their own way.It's the way that they cultivate and inherit their amazing culture that amazes me.Till today,Irish and Scottish folk ballads and cultures have been one of the most unique.There's this distinctive primal beat about the Irish songs that awakes this certain craving for destruction within me.It makes me feel free,makes me feel as if all worldly troubles are gone.It makes me feel like i'm ME.It makes me feel liberated,emancipated,makes me feel as though i've just let out the most throaty call i can ever produce.

I close my eyes,and visualise myself dressed in crude leather,iron,steel and fur.My hair hangs matted around my face.In my right hand I am hefting a large hatchet.In my left a oval shield decorated with the emblem of a rearing horse is held aloft.I am sitting astride an ebony steed fitted with a simple,light saddle made of worn leather.Iron gauntlets encase my arms and studded rawhide gloves fit snugly around my knuckles.Slung around my back is a longbow constructed simply from the middle ring of an Ash tree.A quiver of arrows is slung across it,forming an X.At my waist hangs a curved,light sword.A scythe-like sword,if you like.Another item hanging there is a jet-black horn.As expected,tough leather boots protect my feet and a flowing,black silky torrent that is a cloak shrouds me in darkness.

My imaginary clan leader,a 1.8m tall dark haired muscular male,is clad in similar garb.He speaks in an ancient tongue i cannot fathom,and motions for all of us to follow.Wordlessly twenty riders ride tall and proud,a battle cry forming on their lips.We canter to a stop in a forest clearing.Facing us is another rival clan,their emblem being that of a magnificent Eagle in flight.The two leaders ride up to each other.The representative of the other clan is a female,but she looks no less than capable of killing than anyone of the males present.She is a blond and her steed is snow white.Fire burns fiercely in her eyes and no one dares oppose her wisdom.For a fleeting instant,we lock eyes.I calmly meet her gaze,the only other female in the whole clearing.Briefly inclining her head in acknowledgement,she shouts in another unknown dialect and soon her clan follows.It is time for battle.

I shall not let my warped imagination twist your reality any further.Inspired by this new rage,i have resolved to write a book on this.Not that you care though.

Hey ho y'all!I felt that i should take a break from researching on people and just relax for a bit,and so off i went to borrow The Princess Diaries one and two.I know it doesn't seem my type of movie but now i'm just so stuck on Julie Andrews!!!(You,of course,can read about dear Julie in my Artistic Rambles blog when i post today or tomorrow :) )Anyways,I'd like to give my dear Adeline a great big shoutout thanking her for all she's done for me..I probably wouldn't have survived P6 if not for her.We just met up for dinner the other day...
Ooooh!!I'm so darn excited!!Julie Andrews seems to be really interesting,long career and all...Plus she's just got this royal,regal air about her...::respectable crush::Did i mention she ages with such grace??!!
Just unearthed some treasures today.Found some of the rarest Enya videos at youtube.com!!I am so darn excited!!!And my new phone is due to arrive any day..Oh!And my dad just bought me 2 CDs,which is realy really rare...YAY!!I am so darn happy!!!::passes out due to hyperventilating::
OMG!!!I am watching a recorded live performance by Enya and she is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo darn nervous!!!Her voice is shaking and all...::disappointed and sad,not to mention pity::She looks ill and as if she is going to cry.I think she really did after the darn performance...ooooh!!Disappointed face there...

Hey y'all!!Happy chinese new year!!right now i'm blogging with my cousin in the room,and she's trying to fall asleep.And the considerate me is playing beautiful Enya for her..I don't know if it's working...Let's wait and see...I've gone crazy..My uncle wants my cousin to learn how to play a chinese instrument.And when i say to let her learn how to play the piano,he says what for.
I think learning a chinese instrument isn't practical.Besides,Piano is one of the easiest ways of learning musical notes..(Enya's music is all composed on the piano :D)

Hi...Forgive me if i'm sounding down and depressed,cos i am.My dad's down with serious food poisoning,I have tons of homework,I have been ORDERED to pin my fringe up,and lastly,my mother's coming back tomorrow.Ok.Maybe that's not such a bad thing.But i feel so much more...un-stressed without her.

On a brighter note,i've just thought of a new way of...forget it.My idea is just going to be dismissed by you people.*sighs despondently*I am thinking of destroying my first book,.Should I?Tag with your opinions...I am such a failure.My life just sucks like crazy.Still,here are some of my lifelong dreams.

Get to meet Enya,Elaine Paige,etc,before either party dies.
Go to Ireland and visit Leo's tavern.(Enya's family pub.Maybe someone wants to come with me?)
Tour the whole of Europe.
Watch all of ALW's musicals.
Watch Les Miserables andMiss Saigon,at least.
Learn at least 3 more languages.(Italian,Spanish and French preferred)
Do Theatre studies in VJC.
Publish at least one good book.
Maybe become a writer.
Do well in studies.
Live my life in solitude until i find someone special and good enough for me.(look who's talking)
Write a sensible will.
Grow taller.
Write better.(Don't you dare say i'm a good writer.Let's just wait and see if my essay gets picked for The commonwealth essay.I'm guessing not.)

There are many more insignificant ones.I'll just keep it to these few and say goodnight for today.

Good evening.First of all,i would like to thank Lynn Yap for openly showing her fondness of the song Amarantine.Secondly,i would like to say,if i die,which i'm sure won't happen in a long time,play two songs as i am put to rest.Pax Deorum & Cursum Perficio.Those two are mesmerising,dark,enthralling songs.And i do believe they are sung by Enya.

Moving on to a lighter topic.Vanessa,i do believe that i am not totally over Elaine yet.I still listen to her,and i still adore the clarity of her voice.What leads you to believe that i would not like her any longer?Is it Enya?Please.They are of two completely different genres and can't be compared.Enya exudes melachony.Elaine gives off a radience far younger than her impressive 57 that can only be described as effervescent.There.Learn a new word,people.Their voices are different too,but i won't bore you here.If you want to find out,go to my other blog.The artistic rambles one.

I'm going to Taiwan this Saturday.Anyone want anything?I can get it for you if you want.I'm hoping to get my hands on Enya's albums.And maybe il Divo's as well.But there's no garuntee that i will get it.According to my mother,the artists they have there are mainly from America.And both Enya and il Divo are from UK.Not to mention Elaine Paige,Sarah Brightman,The Corrs,and all the other musicals.Besides.i don't think there's a market over there for these kind of singers and all.My aunt,i call her meng jee,is coming back to Singapore to join us for the trip.This will be the first time we would be seeing each other in about a year or so.I wonder how much taller than her i am now...*snigger*I'm taller than all my aunts now.I'm working towards being talller than my mother.Not an easy task ok..Just downloaded an Elaine Paige interview from the internet.It's got it's own space in my Zen Microphoto.How nice is that?Since i got the little gadget las week,It hasn't left my side yet.Ok.Besides the times when i'm in the toilet.But you get the picture,yeah?
I just love the Irish accents.Enya and Gerard Butler are perfect examples.It's very funny!!They speak really funnily.I read this interview on the net featuring Enya and the reporter was like,"I tried to keep count of the ''Y'knows'and the 'Sort ofs' but lost count after 200."And this was during a 5 minute interview!Imagine if you talked to Enya for half a day!!You would have gone bonkers just counting the number of those words.But then again,her enchanting voice should keep you rooted firmly to earth,but with your soul floating about in bliss.Did you know that she has an estimated fortune of about 70 million pounds??!!That means 210 million sing dollars!!!That also makes her the 38th most richest person in Europe.Obvioulsy that ugly git Andrew Lloyd Webber is way above her,but not even her lives in a castle.I guess he prefers to live near town,or in it.Enya's castle is in the outskirts of Ireland.It was just broken into.One of her really really crazy fans broke in,tied up her maid,and broke her safe,taking her personal belongings but leaving her cash.Apparantly Enya locked herself in what she calls a 'panic room'.Once inside,she called the police,and the tresspasser fled,taking her stuff with him,of course.She thinks that these people(her castle was broken into twice,i think) have"unhealthy fixations" and should be"given treatment as soon as possible".I agree wholeheartedly.Imagine you're an international star.Someone bashes into your house,What would you do?Tag and tell me,if you actually read the post.
Oh yes.Apparantly this Irish reporter who was kidnapped while in Iraq tried to get free by reminding his captors how IRISH he was.And you know how he told them?By mentioning Enya's name.He got free.Miraculously.
Ok.Have been searching for someone to teach me how to replace blogskins.Maybe i'll call caryl over someday.

I'm officially in awe.The only other people who deserve to be in my awe are Elaine Paige(At the very top,as usual!),Sarah Brightman(Only for her voice,duh!),Andrew Lloyd Webber(For creating glorious musicals like CATS and Evita),Andrea Bocelli*It's supposed to sound something like this: On-dray Bo-che-lli*(Because he's blind and is still so darn successful,not to mention rather good looking.),and not forgetting,of course,Laura Michelle Kelly(People who went to watch A Twist Of Fate will know why.Her voice is sooooo good!And she's only 24.That's really young to get a Laurence Olivier,you know.)The last person,of course,is ENYA.

Hailing from the distant Ireland,Enya is known for her calming voice and soothing music.Her voice can reach heights that one can only dream of.But not as high as Sarah Brightman...But still high enough.She may be only a shade taller than Elaine Paige(EP's 5 feet.Enya's 5 feet and 2 inches.You do the math),but she is so goddamn slim!!!Not to mention she has nice eyes...They're between olive green and bottle green.Go check your color chart later.Her voice can only be described as...etheral...Sorry..but there are no other simpler words to say it..She has sung a couple of songs for the LOTR movie series,i think.And one of those was nominated for and award.Don't know if they got it.She's one year younger than Sarah Brightman(SB's 45,so minus one..) but she doesn't look her age.People like Enya remain young forever.Actually,she leaves the impression of agelessness on me.Her voice can be either strong or as i said...etheral.

There.Go learn this new word,cos i'm going to be using it in one of my later posts.She's not very pretty,but i can safely say that she is prettier than Sarah Brightman when SB has makeup,in particular,eye-liner,on...Goodness!SB practically looks like a zombie-crossed-vampire!!When i first saw her picture,i thought she was,like,1.7m tall.But she's not.I'm taller than her...Yay!Those who like LOTR can go to her website and check out the May It Be video...I won't say you're in for a treat,but it's quite good.It's like they took clips from the movie and blended it in with a music video.(Anyway,i doubt anyone is going to go there.If you actually go there,please tag and tell me how you felt about it)Her new album,as is the title track,is called Amarantine.It's a gorgeous song.Melachonic,yet uplifting,enchanting,bewitching,calming,sad,powerful,etheral,beautiful,loving,caring,
marvelous,magical at the same time..How she does it,i know not.You can't really hear what she's singing,but if you are,like,really really really depressed over your results or really really really really angry or happy or sad,you should go and by her album.I'd suggest A Day Without Rain,'cos i have that one,and i know it's good.

For example,if you're really really sad,you listen to it,you may or may not get sadder/happier.Depends on which song.If you're really really really really angry,you listen to a song of hers,and you hear her calming voice,and then you think about why you're angry,how you shouldn't be,and what you can do to stop the anger from coming back and how to fix the problem,if there is one.Her voice serves as that of a Guardian Angels,guiding you back toward the reality,no matter how harsh,but before doing that,she eases your soul and takes away all frustration.It's like you are enlightened.At least,that was the case with me..You feel somewhat stronger inside after listening to her songs.The emotion in her voice in the sad songs nearly made me cry.Just the emotion alone,mind you!Not even the lyrics!She opens up your soul,so parents,if you actually are reading this,or my friends,get your parents to read this.*Message to parents*If you want your child to open up,you can try getting him or her to listen to some slow,enchanting songs of Enya's.Try it.I think it might work...that is,if you can actually get your child to sit still and listen to her...

It's like she weaves this hypnotic spell upon you,and you have no choice but to obey.Reminds me of the mythical Sirens.Y'know,those half human,half bird females that have absolutely enchanting voices and lure sailors in to eat them?Not that Enya's evil though.And she certainly isn't a cannibal.You feel as though you're floating when you hear her sing..when you leave the room after leaving her,you immediately remember all the stress that she momentarily took away from you..Her music is theraputic.One of her songs,Only Time,was used in the 911 videos.They played it in the background while showing the world the carnage.Our golden-hearted Enya agreed to record another version,with all the earnings going to the victims and their families.She's rich enough,anyway.She lives in a CASTLE!!!Read...CASTLE!!!!Not even Andrew Lloyd Webber lives in one,although i think he is much richer than our dear Enya.Oh.And she's rather talented in languages.She has sung in English,Latin,Irish,and,believe it or not...QUENYA.The language of the Elves of Middle Earth.In other words,JRR Tolkein's made believe language.

The PSLE results are finally out.Guess what?I got a rather satisfying 253.Read.RATHER SATISFYING.Which means not good enough.Oh.And i got me Zen microphoto today.Ripping songs now.Sigh.I just love Enya.Her voice is gorgeous.Wait.Hands up all those who don't know who she is,*Count number*Wow!!!An whopping...let's see..ALL OF YOU DON'T KNOW WHO SHE IS!!!!!Ok,This is serious.You don't know what you're missing out on!!Her voice is nearly hypnotic.It's so soothing.I come home after school one day,and listen to her CD,and all the stress vanishes,She rocks man.Hmm...maybe someone *hint hint* can get her new CD (Amarantine) and il divo's new CD (Ancora) for Christmas.Ok.Gotta sleep now.Bye!

Franactomy.Wonder what it means?Well,it's basically the science about the group of tissue between your two front teeth.I got the excess of that cut off today.In human terms,this means that i went for a minor operation today to cut off the stupid piece of gum in between my two front teeth.Thus,my teeth aren't obstructed from growing anymore.
Right.About the surgery.First i went for a bout of anaesthetic.On went the topical anaesthetic(the gel like thing that numbs my gums),then Dr. Ong,my surgeon,grabbed this metallic syringe nearly a foot long (Ok,so i'm exaggerating)and injected the anaesthetic.Basically i didn't feel anything.Except for a little prick.The,i couldn't feel anything,right up to my nose.:(
Then i went to the operating room.They covered me with this dark green sterile cloth,and then they sorta 'blindfolded' me with another piece of the cloth.In short,i couldn't feel or see anything while the operation went on.Even my nose felt numb.I didn't feel a thing.But i bet without the anaesthetic,i would've been screaming bloody murder just 2 minutes into the operation.Imagine.Someone cuts off a bit of you.Ouch.
Right.Let me fast forward for a bit.About 10 minutes in,someone drops a pair of SCISSORS!!!Or so my mother says.She was watching.And then the surgeon said "Pass me the scissors again" I nearly freaked out.But then,who cares?I couldn't feel anything right up to my nose!!Dr. Ong continued on.Then,she took this really cold,wet swab and sorta dabbed my gums.I was suprised i could even feel that it was cold.I think my lips nearly cracked when she went,"Dilys,i'm going to wet your lips for you ok?"I didn't say anything(How to?My top jaw was numb!),just nodded.Finally,she said,"Almost done."I was laughing.It was done so fast!And then came the stiches.I was kinda freaking out when i felt a thread falling around my mouth.According to my mother later,Dr. Ong was using this U shaped thingy to thread the thread through my gums and then after that she was just tying lots of knots.After that came the dressing.It's this weird plasticine like thing that is harder and stays in place,of course.Dr. Ong was like,"I'm sorry,Dilys,but this dressing is going to be really ugly and bulky because i don't think it'll hold up very well due to your jaw structure."I couldn't really do anything,could i?So i just nodded again.By then,my bladder was bursting.I just wanted to go to the freaking washroom!Finally,after the surgery,and after the medicine(Yes,there is medicine.There is this mouth-wash,as i cannot brush me top jaw,and there are two types of tablets.One is a pain-killer,and one is something so that i don't get gastric because of the pain-killer.),i rushed like crazy to the toilet,which was,like,5 minutes away.
After i finally relieved my urgent bladder,i went to the mirror.Gingerly lifting my upper lip,i saw that the dressing was white.By the time i got to the car and lifted the mirror down,I saw that it was pink.Tainted pink by the blood.Naturally,I freaked.When i finally calmed down,i was at my grandma's place.I still couldn't feel most of my nose.Then i went to sleep.When i woke up,i rejoiced.I COULD FEEL MY NOSE AGAIN!!The bad thing was,i could feel the pain in my gums as well.Then,i went to watch TV.And after that,this,I'm really really really really really grateful that Kristen Tan's mother,Dr. Tay,recommended Dr, Ong,as she is really gentle.I really really really didn't feel anything.Until now.Hrmmmm...I know!!I'll go take the painkillers soon..

Christmas.I hate it.Or not.

I hate Christmas.Only the presents are acceptable.The rest sucks.As you get older,the presents decrease in number.It really sucks.I'm pissed at the whole world.As well...I'm obsessed with CATS again.Particularly about this one called Bombalurina.She's tall,Red and black,and is what one may call a rather seductive adult Queen.But she sings really well.And she's tall.That's a bonus.I like this other Queen called Demeter as well.She has a coat of black and Gold,and she has a good singing voice too.I only like one Tom though.Munkustrap.Then for the Kittens,i only like one too.Her name is Jemima.She sang part of Memory with Grizabella.A great honor,i think,for her age.Her coat is Red and black as well,but it looks nothing like Bombalurina's.She looks so much tamer.I'm guessing that no one reads my posts,so i'm going to go all out and write about them Jellicles.My all time favourite is still Bombalurina,i don't know why.Maybe because she was like Grizabella when she was still in her youth...correction.Her middle-aged life.The makeup is rather...interesting,so to speak.It inspires me to think...One day,maybe i'll grow up to be a scientist and maybe i can meld animals and humans together...or maybe not.I think if i melded a human and a cat,they would end up something like...ugh,i don't wanna know..
Yay!Finally found an acceptable desktop background.Not something me dad would approve of,but who cares.I'm the one using the computer.

Hey people.Just finished watching Dances With Wolves starring Kevin Costner and Mary McDonell as John Dunbar and Standing With A Fist respectively.*Note*Those are their real names,as are all those of the characters i am about to mention.First there is the chief of the Sioux Red Indian tribe,and his name is Ten Bears.Then there is the Holy Man,Kicking Bird.Other characters include warriors like Wind In His Hair,Stone Calf,adoloscents like Smiles A Lot,and females like Black Shawl and Pretty Shield.
Weird huh?Well,that's because they are named after what they frequently do.Extra weird now right?
Now i'm doing as much housework as i can to earn that $40 i need for the tickets to A Twist Of Fate..I hope Jephine is going,if not all my hard work is going to go down the drain!!!Oh yes,people might or might not be comforted to know that i am absolutely in love with Evita.The musical,i mean.Not to mention the movie.Antonio Banderas has a good voice,but at that point in time his accent drowned everything out...Too bad...I think he was in some ways better than David Essex.(No offence to any David Essex fans who might be reading this.Not that i know of any so the chances are slim.)But.....

NO ONE CAN EVER REPLACE MY FAVOURITE ELAINE PAIGE!!!!!!

Heyya.ugh,Can't get this song out of my head.If you're an adult,you might have heard of it.If you are Issy,you definitely have heard of it.It's called From a Distance by Bette Midler.Elaine Paige sang it at her concert.And now i'm obsessed with Evita.Madonna was good,no doubt about it,but i still think Miss Paige pulled it off better.Madonna sang Buenos Aires well,though.And her on-screen relationship with Che was rather interesting to watch.Antonio Banderas was good as well.I liked the scene where the two of them were dancing.A love-hate relationship was so darn obvious there.
Ok.Gotta go pack my stinking room and then after that my overflowing cupboard and then after that the fridge.

Forgive my initial outburst just now.I'm a little pissed.Ok.So i'm very pissed.Nevermind.
The Concert yesterday was FANTASTIC!!!!I can't express my delight.You know,i'm getting so hyped up that i think i'm going to faint.Or not.Ok.So here are the songs the great lady actually sang.

So there you have it.The list of 18 songs that she actually sang.Although the programme booklet,which cost me a whopping $20,showed a selction of 25.Add on the two ochestra pieces and you get 20 pieces.Argh.She was in tip top condition,and did i mention that she has a great sense of humor?At the beginning,she was like "Pooh it's hot here!How do you stand it?How can you live here?"and everyone started laughing.She cracked loads of jokes,and she was like,really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really good.You know what?She cried halfway through her encore song,'Cry me a river'i was really astonished.But it ended well...Except that there was no autograph session,because those stupuid DBS people had to go and meet her.*HUMPF*I swear that when i grow up,i will never sign up for that freaking card.

Oh yes.Then there were her gowns.First,she wore this spaghetti-strapped gown that was a little translucent from the waist down(I could see from where i was sitting cos of the really really bright lights shining on her).It had loads of sequins on it.But that was nothing compared to her second gown.The second gown was,like,composed entirely of WHTE cloth sewn together with sequins.I practically couldn't see her face!!!Then came the last gown...The one that i have always adored(She wore it in the ALW video in Beijing).But she wore a huge coat over it.Then she took the coat off.I was like"Oh god!I love that gown!!"Let me describe it.Firstly,the gown itself was black,and it's kinda like a really really long tube top.Then,over that,she wore a matching jacket.The jacket had leather for the sleeves sewn to the shoulders.That's what i love about it.It may be simple,but the gown gives a rather rough yet elegant feel...Even i struggle to describe the feeling i get...

She shared loads of her experiences.It was really entertaining and the music was fabulous.Even my aunt enjoyed it.I didn't dare to scream because she was sitting next to me though.Elaine was so damn gracious...Argh.I've gotta go.I think i'll just go satisfy myself by re-living the concert in my head...Maybe more later!

I can't believe it.Nine days more.It feels like eternity.Oh!My mother bought me 2 things in the past 2 days.Yesterday,she bought me the new Chrisopher Paolini book,Eldest,the chronicle to Eragon.It's really good,but i've finished it already.Today,she bought me the CATS original London cast recording.It's really good,but i still prefer the video version.
More on this CD.Unfortunately,Sarah Brightman took Veerle Castelyn's place as Jemima.I don't know how to put it,but Sarah Brightman is better suited for The Phantom Of The Opera,as she has a higher range.(Well,duh!The whole score was originally going to be written for Elaine Paige,but then the stupid,highly operatic and YOUNGER,not to mention,much uglier,Sarah Brightman had to come along and get married to Andrew.Too bad,the marriage didn't work out.*Silent personal cheers*Ha!Serves them right.)But then again,she can dance,so that's an advantage as well.As usual,Elaine Paige is the depressed,close to death Grizabella.And singing along-side her as Jennyanydots is Susan Jane Tanner.Both have been in the original cast for a total of 17 years,i think.Then there's the baritone,Ken Page.He plays the "King of the Jellicle Cats" so to put it,Old Deuteronomy(sp?).He was in the video,as were the two ladies mentioned above.And he was also in the London cast recording.This is freaky.Barbra Streisand is 63.This is just weird.She looks so darn young.Maybe she went for botox or surgery or something.Ok.Enough about the freaky Miss Streisand.More on the wonderful Miss Paige.Actually,i think that i've told you people enough about her to bore you like crazy.No wonder no one comes to tag my blog.Who cares.
Ok.You know the stuff i said about Sarah Brightman earlier about her not being good in CATS?I take part of it back.She was ok only in one song though,and i think that Veerle Castelyn did a better job.And then,as usual,Elaine was there.Hrmm...I wonder.Did she get Veerle Castelyn to do a special recording with her?'Cos in this CD,Sarah Brightman dosn't sing with Elaine AT ALL.But in the video,as well as in the Centre Stage album,Veerle does sing with her.Tragic,Veerle is so much better than Sarah.Ah well...

Bonsoir amigos.Ha ha.I've gone bonkers after packing my room.Now everything is where they're supposed to be,i think.Ah well.At least now i found the cd i've been missing!Not that that's going to do you any good right?I daresay i have too many cds.But then again,no one's complaining,so who cares.My aunt just messaged me and told me that there was no encore from EP over at Auckland 'cos the ochestra there didn't blend well with her.That's really sad,as i think the fans there would have been really disappointed.Stupid ochestra.Hrmm...I daresay her voice was good enough to hold a show without the darn ochestra though.Unhhh...can't wait for those 11 days to pass.They seem to be just crawling by...
I found out what cancer Elaine had.It was breast cancer,not surprisingly.At least she recovered.I know it's sick,but c'mon,people get all sorts of cancer.Look at Eva Peron.She died at 33 of ovarian cancer.So sad...she was what Argentina needed.Someone to rouse their spirits.But then again,look at the freaky dictator guy,Juan Peron,she married.He was possesive,i think.Ok.Gotta go.Catch you tomorrow,i think.

hey peeps!I still can't get over the euphoria of finishing the freaking exam.WHOOT!!YAY!PSLE SUCKS!BUT IT'S OVER~!

UNHHH...Why can't those 19 days pass faster??!!I wanna go to the concert.Argh.Jose Carreras is a little weird.He's over 50 and he still behaves as if he is still only over 40.And the life newspaper is exactly as weird.They said that he was good looking.Granted,he does have good looks,but now they are,like,almost gone.Can't say the same about his charm though,cause i've never seen him live,or even hear him speak.But he sounds ok.Not obnoxious or anything.EWWW!!!So much blood!This episode of Heartlanders is sick.This guy is psycho.And desperate for revenge.You know what?I haven't done anything today but watch TV and videos.This is the life man!!!EWW.The guy just got acid on his face.Now Vincent Ng is trying to psych this villain out by saying how his brother is a coward.And now the villain just killed himself.How foolish.Ok.Gotta go.PEOPLE!!!YOU MUST TAG MY BLOG OK??!!

hey people.I am watching TV now.I think the show on is 'Meet The Parents'.Unhh.I wanna watch Tim Burton's 'Corpse Bride'.I think i will go and watch it after the exams.Only 2 more exams to go!!Whoot!!!YAY!Have i mentioned how much my mother bosses me around??!!I guess i'll just have to put up with it.I can't be any worse than those beggar children in India.

Argh.The girl living opposite me is driving me crazy.She's making me jealous by playing all those phantom songs on the piano so well.Dammit.*sigh*I guess i'll just have to wait to get a good piano teacher.(ratio,you still owe me your teacher's number)Anyway...

And only four more days to FREEDOM!!!The horrible PSLE is finally going to be over!*cue popping champagne and fireworks*haha.Gone totally bonkers.Can't stop wishing that those 22 days would pass faster...Not that i won't enjoy them.The flea market and the swimming are coming up.Yenli said that she might come by and help us with the flea market thing.Recently i found this essential oil in my mother's room.The very same one that she spilled on my uniform.It smells just heavenly.It's called Morrocan Sunset.Smells really good,never mind the weird name.So i took it from her room,without her knowledge.Who cares?She never uses it,anyway.Pity it's only 1/2 full.Ah well,i'll just finish it for her. :D Whoot!

Tralalala...Warcraft 3 and The Frozen Throne just rock.Those who have played and enjoyed it,you know what i mean.I like Maiev the warden and Tyrande the priestess of the moon for female heroes,Illidan and Thrall for male heroes.I simply love the Night Elf race.They rock!

For normal units i like the Banshees from the Undead,the Sorceresses from the Humans,the Wolf Riders from the Orcs and the Huntresses from the Night Elves.For neutral heroes,i like the Dark Rangers and the Pandaren Brewmaster,both from The Frozen Throne.Whoot!

Good evening,people.This is my third post in two days.Happy?I'm doing this to de-stress,not like melissa,sho is currently working her brains to bits.Poor girl.She really needs to unwind.
Yay!I got my Bond cd from my parents as a gift for being such a good girl.*angelic winks*i guess no one else believes me.I'm currently using my mother's laptop.She's complaining that i am typing too hard,and is warning me not to type so hard.Pft.I type harder on my own keyboard.HAH!Take that.
Ok.Time for your daily dose of stuff on classical songs and albums.Today,i went to learning lab,or in simpler words,united square.Then i went to the CD shop.They have like,loads of cds that are nice,but i don't have and can't afford.Not say can't afford,but can't bear to part with my money.For instance,they have Sarah Brightman's 'Classics' album and 'The music of Andrew Lloyd Webber'.Then they have some other stuff,like Ricard Claydeman,who played ALW songs on the piano.I can't bear to part with my money.Maybe someone can get them as my belated birthday present.*hint hint,guardian angels*Ah well.I can't expect too much from you guys.Then there is Russel Watson.He's album which contains the song 'Amore Musica' is really good,i think.Not to mention Andrea Bocelli and some other artistes,like Sarah Brightman.
Ok,going back to watch my show now.It's the nine o'clock serial,called Beyond The Axis Of Truth two.Ivy Lee is quite pretty for a Singaporean,don't you think?Ok.Gotta go now.Cya!

Good afternoon people!Wonder why i'm always online?Well,i don't know myself.The thing is,I UPGRADED MY INTERNET SPEED!!!!Now it's like,ten times faster than my previous speed,which was,like a snail compared to a cheetah....You get the picture.Anyway,I don't regret buying the Centre Stage album.Elaine sang loads of good songs that people in our class can't appreciate,besides Lynn Yap and Vanessa,maybe Lyn Tan as well.Lynn Yap likes 'On my own' from Les miserables,but sadly she doesn't like the one that Elaine sang.The same goes for 'I dreamed a dream'.I obviously don't agree,but i think 'I dreamed a dream sung by Judy Kuhn was really good.Then there were the songs from the ALW musical 'Sunset Boulevard'.Those were really really good.Not to mention 'Memory' and 'I know him so well',from CATS and Chess respectively.The latter holds a place in the Guiness Book Of Records for being the longest running at number one on the charts by a female duo.
It wasn't very long,but it was long enough (4 weeks @ number one).Which was like,nothing compared to 'Time To Say Goodbye', which held the number one spot in the German charts for half a year.Or something like that.Andrea Bocelli rocks anyway.He makes the song sound so effortless.Can't say the same about Sarah Brightman though.She was probably straining to keep the high notes,poor lady.
I was just going through the new archives about her divorce from ALW.She said that after the divorce,all she did was work,work,and work.A kind of emotional asprin for her,in simpler words.Now both she and Elaine have no one special in their lives,i think.(Elaine was previously in an 11 year relationship with lyricist Sir Tim Rice,and Sarah with her producer frank Peterson)Which is a pity.I would have thought that Sarah and Andrea would have made a nice couple.Sadly,he's married.Ah well,i guess perfect things aren't meant to be.
I just realised that ALW is trying to make all of his musicals into movies.Take Sunset Boulevard for evample.It's coming out next year or something.Sadly,Elaine didn't get the role of Norma Desmond.Glen Close got it instead,she's one year older than Elaine,which makes her 58.Older than ALW too!(He's the same age as Elaine)Then there's The Phantom Of The Opera,Bombay Dreams,Jesus Christ Superstar.They all have been made into films,if i am not wrong.Or maybe not.I dunno.But if they aren't,then they would be,somewhere in the near future.Well,i hope they choose Elaine to star in some of those movies.Hey!Who knows?They may actually make CATS into a movie.(The current one is only a video).Then they won't have any choice but to cast Elaine as Grizabella!YAY!! >^-^<

Just heard that A.R Rahman is coming to Singapore.(He's the one behind Bombay Dreams)

ARGH!!!There's another hurricane called Hurricane Rita or something that hit the US again...
There's a Dengue outbreak in Singapore!!
And last but not least,VANESSA REDGRAVE ROCKS!!!(In Rumours Of An Angel)

Ok...that's about it...6se gals,must be more united ok?We shouldn't break our class up like this.*hint hint*(Pris and Valen) We will make our flea market a sucess,and that's that,ok? "My Favourite Leading Ladies Of Broadway"

I just had the best time of my life last night.The three ladies that captured my imagination were fabulous.They deserved a standing ovation,but pity they didn't get one.Lillias White was the best of the three.She was sooo funny!And the most entertaining....Plus,she was the one who sang memory...So nice!pity she didn't do an encore for that song.
And then there was Judy Kuhn.You might be familiar with her because she was the singing voice of Pocahantas in the disney movie.She sang colors of the wind.It was very good...She was the most softspoken and subdued,though.
Lastly came Cady Huffman.She was the worst of the lot,i think.She could only sing the powerhouse notes well...anyway,she's the only one that can dance,i think...she helped cheorograph the "All that jazz" dance in Chicago,i think.Anyway,the only things about her that i like are her legs and her height.One,because her legs are long.And two,because i think she is at least 1.7m tall.
Moving on to the songs.The show kicked off with the three of them singing Dreamgirls from the musical Dreamgirls.Then they each sang a song and all...the cycle continued...then i bought a programme,It cost me EIGHT DOLLARS!!!!Can you believe it?But nevermind.I got their signatures.I like Judy Kuhn's signature....it's sooo....chinese-ish.Lillias's was the most legible,and Cady's was the most impossible to forge.Did i mention the conductor?I love this conductor.He was the one who directed The Phantom Of The Opera,CATS,and the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.I got his signature too!His name is Edward G. Robinson.He rocks!And he has a good sense of humor.

Hey people.Very bored,so decided to blog.Decided to bore you more too.Here's more about cats...
First,let me tell you the story.A tribe of cats,called the Jellicle cats,reunite every once a year on a full moon night,and on that night,a cat is chosen from the tribe to be reborn into a new Jellicle life.What does that mean?Well,i think it means that the particular cat that is chosen will see what happiness is,as the lyrics of "Memory" suggests...
One by one,the cats emerge from their places.They are of different breeds,different coulours,but all are yearning for that one chance to be reborn.They exhibit their different talents,all of them useful and intriuging.There was a cat that knew magic(Mr Mistoffelees),one that knew how to disappear from every scene of crime(MaCavity)and even one that lived at a train station(Skimbleshanks)!
And so the story flows.It is based on poems by a great writer,T.S.Elliot.He wrote about all the cats and their different personalities,transporting the reader into a world of mystery.In The end,only one cat was reborn.And she was none other than...

GRIZABELLA,THE GLAMOUR CAT

That's right.Although she was shunned by the rest of the cats in the beginning,she was finally accepted by Victoria,the pure white kitten.She was the one that was led by old Deteuronomy to the great beyond.She was the one,that was REBORN...

I am guessing that i have made you fall asleep by now,and this saddens me.You see,this blog is the only avenue to which i can channel all my emotion,and passion for the things i love into.I really hope you understand how these musicals have all,in turn,touched me...

Hello people.Bored,so i have decided that you are to share my fate as well...
It's about cats again.That's right,cats.I think that most of you don't see what i see in those cute little felines but who cares.It's my blog.
Well,let's start by telling you the story.The cats in the story are actually potrayed by various amazing dancers as well as singers (ie Elaine Paige and Sir John Mills).The cats are all part of a tribe called the Jelllicle tribe,so all of them are Jellicle cats.They all have a special personality,and some even have powers that can be used for good or evil.(MaCavity and Mr Mistoffelees)So,the story unfolds.The cats emerge,singing their songs.There were cute cats(Victoria,Jemima),rough cats(Rum Tum Tugger,Munkustrap),and even evil cats(MaCavity,Mungojerrie,Griddlebone)!Well,all of the cats were cute,and the songs were beautiful.As was the dancing.The cats reunite once a year on a night with a full moon,and one,only one,will be reborn into a new Jellicle life...The cats all vie for that one place in the Great Beyond,yet Old Deteuronomy,the head cat,decides the one that gets to go.And so the cats show off their abilities,until a very old,un-glamourous grey cat emerges from the shadows...
Shunned by the rest of the Jellicle cats,Grizabella once was a glamour cat.She had left the tribe years ago to explore the human world.Now,she was but a grizzled cat,one that could only dream of journeying to the great beyond...
Oddly enough,after all the cats had displayed their talents,she was the only one left.She struck up a slow,mournful tune and bega to sing those famous words...

"Midnight,not a sound from the pavement.

Has the moon lost her memory?

She is smiling alone.

In the lamplight,the withered leaves collect at my feet,

And the wind,begins to moan.

Memory,

All alone in the moonlight,

I can smile at the old days,

I was beautiful then..

And the emotion in her crystalline voice touched the cats.One by one,they accepted her,and the lead cat chooses her to be reborn.The touching story captivated me,and there were tears in my eyes as i reluctantly turned the television and took the VCD back to the shop to return it...

I know that you have probably thought that i am weird,and this saddens me.This blog is the only avenue through which i can let my true feelings flow.I hope you understand...

CATS!!!!!!

Hey people.trying to blog as often as i can,so nah.Last week,i borrowed a video called CATS from video ezy.or whateva that shop is called.Yup.you guessed it.It's a musical.But it doesn't seem like one because there's so much dancing.The dancing is good though,so it was SUPERB!!!!It was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!!!
I take my hat off to it's composer...the one,the only...*drum roll...*Sir Llyod Weber!!!That's right!!! I totally loved it!And i just loved the cats!They were so damn cute!!
I especially liked the one called Victoria...sooooo cute!!!And so innocent too!The cast was wonderful,and one of my favourite singers was acting in it.That's right,Elaine Paige,the first lady of British Theatre potrayed the sad,desolute role of Grizzabella wonderfully.andyway,more about that later.gtg now!bybye
